Bio
Bell and Britt were born in Zurich Switzerland on 13/04/1985. With both parents being Dutch they received the Dutch nationality. After living in Switzerland for a while the whole family moved to North Carolina (USA). Four years later, complete with an older brother and a younger sister the family packed their stuff again and moved to Belgium where they would stay for a longer period.
Sports became an important piece of their lives on an early age. It started out with competitive swimming, judo to kickboxing and snowboarding. Later on they also collected a couple of other addictive hobbies as surfing, wakeboarding and mountain biking.
Bell and Britt started snowboarding on a winter holiday (lack of mountains in Belgium) when they were 11 years old. It stayed a “vacation sport” till they were 17 when they discovered that Belgium had indoor slope competitions. Joining the Antwerp Snowboard Crew, Bell and Britt were found on various indoor slopes in Belgium and Holland. Riding every rail, spine and kicker they were hooked.
As soon as they finished high school they took off to Breckenridge for the season. After a great season they (both) started a HBO study Economics at the Randstad Topsport Academie. This meant that they could combine snowboarding with an education.
Riding big kickers, freeriding and fun lead to the entry into boardercross competitions in 2007. This was the start of a whole new experience in snowboarding. They started competing in Europe Cups, World Cups and joined the Dutch National SBX Team coached by Frank Germann.
